Magic not dead yet

Game 2 of the NBA Finals was a crushing, crushing defeat for the Orlando Magic. It was a crucial game for the Magic; the loss means they absolutely have to sweep the Lakers in Orlando, as I don't see them winning Games 6 and 7 in LA. But there are a couple of reasons I like Orlando to at least make this a series by winning Game 3.

1. The Magic have played very well with their backs against the wall. Remember how terrible Orlando looked as they were about to be ushered out of the playoffs by Boston? They followed this by winning six of their next eight in impressive fashion to make it to the Finals.

2. The Lakers have not done well with prosperity in these playoffs. See especially the Rockets series.

3. All of the calls that went against the Magic in Game 2 -- and there were plenty -- should turn in their favor in Orlando.

4. No home crowd gets behind its team like the good people of Orlando. Truly legendary fan support, surpassed only by those diehards in Atlanta.

Okay, so I'm being facetious with #4, although the Magic have typically been a very good home team. All of which adds up to me picking the Magic to win Game 3, and in relatively easy fashion.

Did I mention I hate Kobe Bryant?
